Friday, 4:50pm… the tests all pass…
Yeah, I’ll wait for Monday morning to check this one in.

Ugh, these EV chargers are work are so slow…. charging for nearly six hours and I’ve only gotten about 55% battery charge back.
My 3-day old niece went in for open heart surgery today. After a long procedure, she came out looking pretty good, all things considered.
🙏🏻
Remember to be thankful for the loved ones you have; you never know what today holds.
I picked up the iPad Pro 12.9 last week. The only regret I have with the purchase: the keyboard folio. There’s nothing wrong with it, per se, it’s just that this iPad is my dream slate device, and the keyboard seems like a huge step back as an input device. Go ink, or go home.
Well, today was the big suck. Until tomorrow!
Wow… it’s already been a bit over a year since I joined . Time is a funny thing.
It’s 74F outside, but my house is freezing. It drops to 30F during the night, and the house temp never recovers!
I wonder what’s happening in “Twitter-land”. Well… that was a poor choice to getting my Monday started off right.
The past three weeks I’ve had this lingering sickness that just won’t go away! My body is getting too old and is unable to heal itself, apparently. The lack of sleep is probably not helping. 🤔
More coffee! 😂
Imagine trying to track down where an errant .
is coming from in a large code base with very little clues as to where and why… that’s me, have fun! =)
Gah. Always hate waking up from a nap and feeling worse then when you laid down to begin with.
#sickdaysstink
I find it a bit amusing that I get to work in less time when leaving the house at 7:30am vs. 4:20am. Of course, the sample size is only one day, but traffic was much lighter @ 10 through Gilroy and on 85.
The worst thing about my Model 3 so far: I really want an X now too.
The experiment of stopping at the supercharger near work - not so good.
Good to know, though it may be worth trying once more with a different route.
This was not the route to take to work today… 😭
Supercharging is so fast!! A quick 15 minute stop charges nearly the same amount as an all day charge at work, and costs less!
Frustration levels for the day: 🥃💀
✓ Power at 240V/60A breaker box ✓ 240V to the line in at the disconnect box ✓ 240V to the line out at the disconnect box 𐄂 240V at the wall charger
Disconnect the wall charger.
✓ 240V to the lines at the wall charger
🤔
Electrician didn’t clamp the wires down properly within the wall charger, so as soon as some current came through the lines, they moved breaking their connection to the box. Awesome.
Wall charger is working now, email to the electrician time!
Joy… after an all day install for my wall charger, I go to plug it in (the charger had the green light), and nothing.
Wall charger die? So unbelievably frustrated right now. Such a waste of time today.
My favorite thing about at Tesla DIY project is the ridiculous home charging solutions that people are using to plug into their cars… like really? You drop, in some cases, over $100,000 and use setups that clearly violate the NEC to charge.
Umm… ok.
Well… I started with an estimated 260 mile range home. Traveled 197.5 miles with an estimated 25 mile range remaining.
Average of 283 Wh/mi used.
Not too bad, I suppose.
The test: can I make it home when my car says I have a 260 range???
The go-no-go is about 70 miles south. After that point, no charger for another 110 miles.
First real commute in with the Model 3. First thoughts:
Overall, a very big upgrade!
Does anyone have or know of a Bluetooth door lock that isn’t obnoxious, tacky, and actually secure?
Hmm… no more car key means I’m going to be constantly forgetting my house key. At least I’ll have a garage door opener soon. =)
